Part-time/Seasonal Hockey Referees

General Statement of Duties:
Position is responsible for refereeing Colorado Scholastic Inline Hockey League. The ASIHC Referee In Chief, Chad MAson directly supervises this position.

Examples of Duties:
Communicate league inline hockey clearly and calmly. Insure safety of players and fans; report any and all disturbances to Inline Hockey Rink Supervisor and ASIHC Referee In Chief; responsible for reporting any damage to facility by league participants. Must be able to attend regularly scheduled staff meeting, provide feedback to the RIC on strong points and opportunities for improvement; provide feedback to coaches and players during games; resolve coach issues and complaints.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be at least 18 years of age and be certified through the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union); demonstrate strong customer service skills; meet and serve the public effectively and have the ability to work independently.

Game times:
Generally, Saturdays, or Sundays from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and occasional, Friday evenings after 5 p.m.
Strict adherence to attendance and punctuality are mandatory requirements.

Equipment:
Each new official is responsible for providing his own C.S.A. Certified (black) hockey helmet complete with a recommended CSA certified half visor, a black and white vertically stripped referees shirt, black pants, and finger whistle. Optional equipment that is strongly recommended, but not mandatory includes, shin guards, protective girdle, and elbow pads.

Starting Salary:
$12.00 to $18.00/game
