All Star Selection Criteria

As part of the GOLD Division All Star
selection criteria we will be looking at:

. Gold Division eligibility priority, then Silver and Bronze

. Coach nominations and referrals of players not on their own team

. Excessive and flagrant penalties, particularly those penalties that revolve around unsportsmanlike conduct, violence, or inappropriate behavior (i.e. abusive language is considered.

. Referee input and referrals
. Stat leaders in scoring, assist, and overall points
. Save percentage and games played for goalies
. Team win/loss record.
. Team contribution regardless of win/loss record (i.e. defensive prowess).
. SPORTSMANSHIP

Your input for defensive players is especially needed, as we know that not all skilled defensive players are leaders in the stat columns.

All selections must be submitted (10) ten days prior to event date..




8th Garde Showcase Game

Scouting the next high school class of inline hockey athletes

The 8th Grade Showcase selections will be a culmination of 8th grade status players (8th grade only) with similar skill requirements mentioned above for the GOLD Division All Star selection.

The League will evaluate and select players for the 8th Grade Showcase. Players will be selected based on their 8th Grade status, and then by their statistics.

The ultimate objective of the 8th Grade Showcase is to "showcase" the states best middle school talent for prospective high school scouts and coaches.

. All 8th graders are eligible from the Middle School GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE division.

. Excessive and flagrant penalties, particularly those penalties that revolve around unsportsmanlike conduct, violence, or inappropriate behavior (i.e. abusive language is considered.

. Referee input and referrals
. Stat leaders in scoring, assist, and overall points
. Save percentage and games played for goalies
. Team win/loss record.

  • Varsity 5A Division eligibility only

  • Team contribution regardless of win/loss record (i.e. defensive prowess).
  • SPORTSMANSHIP

Senior Showcase Game

The Senior Showcase selections will be a culmination of Seniors at similar skill requirements mentioned above for the Varsity 5A Division All Star selection. The ultimate objective of the Senior Showcase is to "showcase" the states best High School Senior talent for prospective college scouts.
  • All Seniors are eligible from the High School Varisty 5A division.
  • Excessive and flagrant penalties, particularly those penalties that revolve around unsportsmanlike conduct, violence, or inappropriate behavior (i.e. abusive language is considered.
  • Referee input and referrals
  • Stat leaders in scoring, assist, and overall points
  • Save percentage and games played for goalies
  • Team win/loss record.
  • Team contribution regardless of win/loss record (i.e. defensive prowess).
  • SPORTSMANSHIP

Academic All-Star Game
The Academic All-Star selections will be a culmination of students that demonstrate a high level of acedemic sucess as well as demonstrate a level of talent on the rink at the All-Star level as described above.

  • All students athlete are eligible from the 2009 High School Season.
  • Selections will be made based on submission of current report cards. (Scan & Email your report card to edelgado@chsiha.org or mail them to the address on the "Contact Us" page.
